Business Intelligence
The Adept Reporting Tool (ART) provides a simple, yet powerful,
solution to your business intelligence needs. Using ART, you can
quickly extract information from your Adept Registered Clubs
application and present it in the form of reports, charts and
cross-tabulations. Information can be output in a wide range of
formats, including directly to spreadsheets. For example, you
might use ART to extract bar sales by trading location and then
generate an Excel spreadsheet for further analysis in an Excel
Pivot Table. Alternatively, you could use ART to produce a
bar chart showing wages vs. total revenue by trading location and
then export the chart to Word for inclusion in a board report.
Ease of Use
ART's user interface is aligned with the principle of 'what you
see is what you get' and will allow you to create your own reports
and queries, in real-time, on any data stored in the application.
Data can be selected using drag and drop and filtered through a
wide range of filter operators.
Creating a report is a simple four step process - first, choose
what type of report you want; second, select what fields you would
like displayed on the report; third, choose what type of data you
would like displayed on the report; and lastly, pick the format you
would like for the report. Reports can be simple queries,
cross-tabulations or charts (bar, column, line, area, pie and
point). You can create reports that drill down from a summary level
to a detailed level, and you can select multiple output types
including Excel, Word or PDF.
Report scheduling and automatic
distribution
ART provides an integrated report scheduler. The scheduler
allows you to specify the frequency at which a report should be run
(daily, weekly, monthly) and the time at which it should execute.
Information can then be automatically distributed by email allowing
you, for example, to deliver reports to sales staff or management
for viewing on a smart device.
